Fallon Health and Discover Central Massachusetts announces event lineup for Worcester’s Independence Day Celebration
Fireworks to begin at 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 at Cristoforo Columbo Park (East Park)
Worcester, Mass., June 13, 2023 ―Family fun, live entertainment, and a fireworks display will help ring in Independence Day in Worcester. Fallon Health, in partnership with Discover Central Massachusetts, today announced the annual celebration will begin at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 29 at Cristoforo Colombo (East) Park. The rain date is June 30. The event is free and open to the public.
Food court and fun for the kids begins at 4:30 p.m. At 5:00 p.m. WXLO will broadcast the live entertainment and music. Then, at 8:15 p.m., Cara Brindisi, a Worcester native and contestant on NBC’s The Voice season 22, will take the stage. The patriotic fireworks display is set to begin at 9:30 p.m.
“Cara is a talented local artist who uses her voice not only to entertain others, but also to provide comfort to those in need. A friend to Fallon Health, we are thrilled she will be performing for city residents on such a special occasion,” said Richard Burke, President and CEO of Fallon Health. “Worcester’s July 4 celebration is a tradition for so many in our community, and we are proud to partner with Discover Central Massachusetts on the festivities.”
