Cultural competency

Fallon supports you in effectively delivering health care services that meet the social, cultural, and linguistic needs of your patients.

These resources can help you assess and improve your cultural competency.

  • Implicit Bias Resources
This resource, provided by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, presents information about continuing medical education on implicit bias in healthcare.
  • National CLAS Standards
The National CLAS Standards are a set of 15 action steps intended to improve quality of care and help eliminate health care disparities by providing a blueprint for individuals and health and health care organizations to implement culturally and linguistically appropriate services.

Effective March 1, 2018, Medicaid Managed Care plans are required to indicate whether each provider has completed cultural competency training in their provider directories.

Please confirm that you have been trained in meeting the cultural and linguistic needs of your patients by updating your practice information.
